Name: Alexander "Xander" LaVelle Harris
Age: 25
Physical Appearance: Xander is a tall well built young man as he's spent much of his life either fighting demons or working construction. He one defining feature, besides various scars from demon fighting, is the eye patch he wears over his missing left eye. He hasn't been able to bring himself to get a fake eye. He wears his patch proudly as a war wound, and in some ways, he likes to be a reminder to the slayers and witches of what they are fighting for.
Religion: Some strange weird ass mix of Wicca, Christianity, and Judaism. With a little Buddhism thrown in for good measure. Basically Xander never really had religion until ol' Sunnydale put some sort of belief into him. He'd call himself agnostic.
Education: High School, although he was probably smart enough to go to at least junior college if he had applied himself/not lived on a hellmouth
Occupation: Officially: Construction Foreman and surveyor of sites for the UWSC in Africa (a non-for profit beneficial charity). Unofficial: A watcher for the Unified Watchers and Slayers Council.
Significant Other: None, but he still pines just a little for Anya.

Character Biography:
History: Xander didn't have a very good home life, his father was a drunk and his mother probably wasn't much better. He would sleep outside or at Willows to avoid the screaming matches. Much of his insecurity in high school and later in life came from this not so happy household.

Xander was shoved into the world of demon hunting at the ripe old age of 16. He stumbled into the life of Buffy, the current vampire slayer at the time and he never looked back. He's had various loves, most of which turned out to be demons. It's a subject of much ribbing among the Scoobies. At one point he even asked Willow to 'turn him gay' as he was tired of attracting the demon crazy women. She refused to do it, noteing that he'd only attract 'gay demon men'

Xander helped bring down the mayor of Sunnydale when he ascended into demonhood, he split the slayer line, was the 'heart' of a major spell, he's served as surrogate big brother for Dawn, and has been called "Buffy's White Knight" for his penchant for charging in and being to noble for his own good. He has been named "The one who sees" by Caleb and the First Evil, as Xander is the one who often keeps the group in focus and 'sees' the problems of everyone for what they are.

Lately he's been in Africa, rounding up slayers and helping to rebuild the council.
Personality: Xander's a warm caring loving person. Being in what was basically a guerilla war since sophomore year in highschool has hardened him a bit, given him a bit of a sarcastic edge. He is without a doubt the most loyal person you would probably ever meet.

How Other Perceive Your Character: People don't look past the joking exterior often to see the heart underneath. Those that do earn a friend forever.
Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: Xander tends to see things in black and white, good evil, right and wrong. He'll also forgive most people for actions against himself. But he has a hard time forgiving people who do bad things to his friend.
Reason for Escaping to Canada: Xander's just plain burnt out
Their DHAs [Dreams, Hopes, and Aspirations] for Canada: Xander has always been the touchstone the "normal" one among all the supernatural, he's always been the support and base for the Scoobies. Xander needs the mental health break. To experience life on his own... hopefully this time his car won't break down along the way.

3. Would you see a shrink: Yeah, if I think one would believe the whole vampire thing. I mean, I'd like a shrink but not one that'd throw me in the loonybin. I mean, hi, My name is Xander, and I lost my eye to a psycho priest who was serving the First Evil. Yeah, Valium and Prozac, here I come.
4. Worst Childhood experience: Hearing that we had pulled Buffy, from where we had. During that whole goddamn musical thing.
5. Favorite film: Star Wars... yeah, I'm a geek, deal.
6. Favorite Song: Fortunate Son, Creedence Clearwater Revival, kinda sums up my life... without the war part, but maybe with the war part. Actualy, my life with the war part, but not the Vietnam part.

10. Best gift ever received: Something from Giles before I went to Africa, it's really too personal to mention. Suffice to say, I wish he had been my father instead of Tony, god knows he's done more to raise me than Tony ever did.
